Second Day Hike

This hike was also in the Sandia Mountains outside Albuquerque. We hiked Embudito Trail to its junction with Three Gun Springs Trail. One student did not attend because of an injury (he made this up by writing an excellent paper on first aid for bites). The rest of us enjoyed a work-out of a hike!

I am forced to assume the role of a teacher every now and again. When we reached our destination I had the students write in their journals about certain aspects of the experience. We also ate lunch and enjoyed some free time before departing.

We hiked out the same way we hiked in. All told, this was an extremely successful outing. The students managed this long, difficult hike with great fortitude.

The students were now ready to head camping.
